Russia launched three new navigation satellites at Thursday, Russian media reported.

Proton-M rocket which carried out three  navigation satellites launched from Russian launch pad in Kazakhstan at 10:43 GMT.

Three new satellites will became a part of additional 17 satellites which are part of GLONASS system which will contain 24 satellites when it is finished.

GLONASS system is Russian military project started in '80s during the Cold war as a response to US Global Positioning System better known as GPS.
