Beishanlong Grandis, the world's largest ornithomimosauris will be exhibited in China Print E-mail

Beishanlong Grandis, the world's largest ornithomimosauris which has been discovered in Gansu Province, China, will be shown in July on public exhibition.

Chinese and American palaeontologists concluded that Beishanlong Grandis is the largest discovered ornithomimosauris.


Beishanlong Grandis was found 3 years ago at Beishan in Yujingzi Basin in Gansu, it will be exhibited in July at dinosaur exhibition in Lanzhou Stadium in Gansu. It is at least 100 million years old.

This dinosaur was about 8 meters long and it weighted about 626 kilograms. Scientists found that Beishanlong Grandis was only 14 years old when it died and they believe that adult Beishanlong Grandis dinosaurs were even larger.
